How the Manager Rankings are Determined

The coaches are ranked by the criteria listed below in the order that they are listed

1. The coach's highest finish

2. The coach's total number of first place finishes

3. The coach's total number of second place finishes

4. The coach's total number of combined third and fourth place finishes

5. The coach's total number of seasons that they competed in the leagues listed above

6. The coach's average rank in all of the seasons they competed in

Pro Managers That Factor Into Rankings

Not all leagues are factored equally

1. Managers of MLB-Major League Baseball (1901-Present)

Pro Managers By Decade

The rating used to rank the pro coaches is the same as the all-time rankings but only uses results from the seasons of that decade

Pro Managers By Franchise

The rating used to rank the pro coaches is the same as the all-time rankings but only uses results from the coach's tenure with that franchise

Pro Managers By League

The rating used to rank the pro coaches is the same as the all-time rankings but only uses results from the seasons in that league
